The hardest thing for me
When I was in the middle of my depression
Was that I would lay in bed
Thinking about my life
And how it was going downhill
And how I could I change that
Not in the sense of ending my life
But in the sense of making it better
I was at the point of wanting to live
For I had found my passion
It was poetry
When I first started in middle school
When I learned that poetry is an excellent outlet
For emotions
I just let them control the hand that held the pencil
And wrote
After I presented my work
I was called up by the teacher and asked if I got this from the internet
I did not as the poems were my own
The teacher, the special needs teacher and her aids were flabbergasted
As I was told this was professional grade poetry
At this time I was writing more and more
I was emptying the bottle of emotions
That I was letting ferment in cellar of my heart
Letting them air out so they can become sweet
As soon as I was letting go the emotions
My world opened up
I was feeling better
My depression was weakening
I was able to truly make friends
For me what saved me from myself was my poetry
To say that I have no credit for my art means nothing to me
For they are my treasure, my life savers
And they are me
My art will always remind me that I can overcome the impossible
My art is my story and my story will live on in all those who appreciate it
My art is the declaration of my fight to live and to help others
My art will always have credit
This is the first step
To overcome the Everest of hate
That you must accept it and then forgive
When you do that you will turn the tide
And make that mountain into
A pile of sand
This is the hardest choice to make
For if you dwell of past
On the people who want to bring you down
Then will the most difficult decision
In your life
It is not easy to forgive those who have wronged you
And it is not easy to accept the words they say
The things they've done
I am not saying to take their actions to heart
But to nullify them with your compassion
Like the golden rule
Treat others the way you wanted to be treated
If you want to be accepted, accept your enemies
For when they realize that you come to them with a smile
And treat them like a human being
They will soon realize they have no power over you
And when you forgive them
You are forgiving them for not opening up
They have their insecurities too
The reason they pick on you is because you have something they don't
They are jealous of you
Why else would someone take so much of their time to pick on
Certain aspects of your life
They are hurting on the inside
They need a reaction from someone else to know
What they are feeling is real
The way we cope with pain and suffering is different
Some people just do not know the right outlets for their frustration
That is why to end this cycle of malice
We need to accept and forgive one another
No matter who is at fault
Love and compassion can overcome
Hate and sadness
I will admit it, I am a huge fan of twincest. Thank you Oran High School Host Club and Teen Wolf for letting me fall in love with twins.
Got a new part time job, and it is all night-shifts, so my activity has really gone down. Because by the time I get up, I have to go run errands for my mom, and then when I get home before work I try to relax. I'm trying to get another job so I don't have to have this hectic schedule.
Ever since adopting a more positive, helpful outlook, I have been doing a lot of helpful things within my community. Yesterday after I had lunch with my mom, I went to go get gas , and on my route to the gas station there was a homeless man with a sign saying Hungry and Broke, he was on a corner of many fast-food places, so after going past him, I had a wave of guilt go over me, and when I got to the gas station, after realizing I didn't have my membership card with me, I decided to go back, and went to the homeless man and treated him to lunch, since I had to another errand to do I left telling him to have a blessed day. I have been holding doors for people, telling people to have a wonderful day, etc. Even today, as I left the restroom, a lady in a electronic wheel chair with her (broken) leg affixed to a propped position trying to get into the restroom, I held the door for her and I saw a light in her eyes and she thanked me. I guess karma is real, because my mom called me to come to her work (that is where I helped the lady in the wheelchair) saying that I got a lunch paid in full for me, she had lunch with one of her clients who happened to work at a Chinese buffet, and I got a free lunch.
  • Mood: Caring
  • Listening to: The humming of my fridge.
  • Reading: My Journal
  • Watching: Ultimate Otaku Teacher
  • Playing: Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
  • Eating: Chinese food
  • Drinking: Ginger Ale
